Ramada Plaza by Wyndham Chao Fah Hotel

If you think that you’re going to be staying in a 5 star hotel, don’t think of this property. It does not make you feel like you’re in a 5 star property at all. Super rude staff, not helpful or friendly at all, not at all like how staff at 5 star hotels behave. The location is also too far from anything you’d want to visit. They don’t have clarity themselves on timings for breakfast, it will be written as until 10:30am in some places, 10am in some and we saw the 10:30am boards and they didn’t let us enter even though we came before 10. (Attached photos in media) All our breakfast’s here, we had to step out and eat. Definitely not recommended!

While we are searching for hotels in phuket, we found this hotel in a good deal. The check-in was smooth and we were given room cards quick. All the tour places are nearer like Big Buddha, Tiger Kingdom, Dolphin bay and Watchalong. Their breakfast was so enticing with variety of dishes ! Another important facility they provide is the luggage storage facility, which you can use if you want to travel lightly and can collect luggage later.

I absolutely loved the hotel's location, not right in the old town center but perfect for me. It's not too busy, and it feels like it's right in the middle, making it easy to get around. The room is fantastic—brand new and spotlessly clean. The bed is so comfortable that I didn't want to leave it! The breakfast was a highlight for us. It was not only enjoyable but also offered a variety of delicious foods, allowing us to explore different tastes. The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, making our stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a wonderful experience!

Room: Room is spacious but not up to the star rated. Service: 1. The worst services I’ve ever had. 2. First time I need to pay 30baht/bottle for extra drinking water needed. Did I stay in a budget hotel? 3. Chef who was taking care of egg section were rude to customers. Whatever you talked to or requested from her, she had no response to customers. Location: Not located at strategic location.

We stayed here for 4 nights. Coming from Dubai and for someone who's been to 5 star hotels, I would not rate this hotel as 5 star. The bathroom closet had urine stains on it as we checked into the room which was unpleasant as we usually expect to come into a neat room after a long travel. The management and staff seemed less attentive to customers, overall hospitality did not match the standards of the brand name Ramada. Room was average, cleanliness on the lower side, no minibar (they said it is available in the lounge near the reception), limited toiletries that did not meet 5-star standards (included dental kit, cotton buds, mini soap, shampoo, shower gel, hair dryer, shaving mirror), room service available till 11pm, water available additionally at a price. Amenities like body lotion, iron, bathtub were not available. The restaurant Hong Bao serves breakfast daily from 7am to 10am. The breakfast was good - had bread counter, hams/ cheese, pasta with sauce, salad/fruits counter, hot dumplings, Thai food counter - noodles, rice, breakfast cereal counter, milk/coffee/tea, live egg counter. Hong Bao restaurant serves authentic thai/Chinese cuisine which we did not try. They have a sky lounge, fitness lounge and swimming pool. The pool is average sized and completely shallow with no deep end. There is a very small kids pool attached to the main pool. The pool looked like it was there just for the sake of it. Location is close to Central Phuket Mall, Tiger Kingdom, Andamanda water park, Zipline. This location is rated poor because it is far from the Pier which is where you go to visit the islands, and from Patong beach/ Bangla street which are the happening places with crowds in Phuket. If you prefer quiet surroundings this hotel's location is apt. The views from this hotel are just average.
